When going through the identity check, you will be asked to provide a valid, up-to-date government-issued identification document to complete the process. But, depending on your location, a different identification document will be required of you.
US, Canada, and Western Europe
If you are located in these regions, the identity check will require you to submit either:
- State-issued IDs such as a Drivers License or Identification Card
- Government-issued passport
Outside of the US, Canada, and Western Europe
For all other regions, the identity check will require you to submit:
- Government-issued international passport
Identification documents that will not be accepted
Regardless of where you are based, these identification documents will not be accepted when going through the identity check:
- School IDs
- Medical IDs
- Temporary (paper) IDs (a temporary license, for instance)
- Residence Permits
- Public Services Card
- Military IDs
- Global Entry Cards
